About the Canadian Kids page

Back in September of 1994 when the Canadian Kids Page was established, Web sites suitable for the young and the young at heart were very limited. Canadian sites were also few and far between. And all sites were hard to find out about.

The Canadian Kids Page project was started to resolve these problems to some extent - our first edition had only two links to other sites! The tremendous growth of the Internet and the World Wide Web since then has resulted in better indexing, and plenty of kids sites, both Canadian and from elsewhere around the world. We are currently linked to hundreds of safe sites - for children, their parents and their teachers.

We hope you enjoy the Canadian Kids page. It is meant as a jumping in point for teachers and students, and parents and children exploring the Web together. Each month we receive many suggestions for sites to add to our list. We visit each site before linking to it, and we endeavor to link to kid-safe sites.
